Frequently Asked Questions

How much do you charge for boarding?

We do not engage in any boarding activities or the selling of puppies and dogs.

My new puppy is 9 weeks old. Can we register him in classes?

Puppies must be at least 3 months old and have received two sets of puppy vaccinations that include parvo and distemper. If the puppy is over 6 months of age they also require proof of rabies vaccination.

My dog is not a purebred. Can we still register him for class?

Yes, purebreds and mixed breeds are all welcome as long as they are healthy, vaccinated and at least 3 months of age.

I want to buy a puppy. Can you tell me where I can get one?

Our members, that also breed purebred dogs, must sign and agree to follow our Breeder's code of ethics. We do not have dog breeders that breed every breed recognized by the Canadian Kennel Club. Do your homework on your breed of choice; be aware of the various health and temperament traits that are common to certain breeds. Certain breeds require more grooming, more training, more exercise and/or more space than other breeds. Purchase a ‘Dogs Annual Magazine’ from Coles or any book store. It will list all the recognized dog breeds in Canada and list many dog breeders to choose from. Choose dog breeders that stand behind their puppies and do the genetic testing recommended for their favourite breed of dog.

What will you teach my dog?

We teach YOU how to teach your dog. We teach you how to help your dog understand the behaviours that you want and those behaviours that you do not want.

What will my dog learn in Obedience?

We will show you how to teach your dog common behaviours, like SIT, DOWN, STAY, STAND, COME WHEN CALLED, WALK NICELY ON LOOSE LEASH, WATCH ME, LEAVE IT. We help you with common puppy/dog issues like jumping up, pulling on leash, mouthing/chewing, house training, and other behaviours.
