Obedience Training
Beginner Obedience - for those with dogs of any age just starting out. Some of the things we teach in this class are attention games, sit, down, wait, and stay. Tired of your dog walking you? We also teach loose leash walking!
Intermediate Obedience - for anyone who has completed a Beginner Obedience Class and would like to learn more. This class is also known as the D&D Class - we work on distance and distraction, as well as having your dog heel beside you for a nice walk.

Agility Classes
Agility is a dog sport in which a handler directs a dog through an obstacle course in a race for both time and accuracy. Four levels of agility are offered.
RallyO and CARO
RallyO and CARO are two styles of dog sports based on obedience but unlike regular obedience, instead of waiting for the judge's orders, the competitors proceed around a course of designated stations with the dog in heel position. The course consists of signs that instruct the team what to do. Unlike traditional obedience, handlers are allowed to encourage their dogs during the course.
Speedway League
Speedway League is a weekly drop-in activity where the handler navigates their dog on a course that includes tunnels, hoops, and sometimes both. The course changes each week. Cost is $10 per dog each week (cash only) which gives the handler three runs in that given evening. For those a little more competitive, qualifying rounds are tracked. Prizes are given to handler teams that accumulate the appropriate number of qualifying rounds. Participation is open to anyone though some level of obedience training is beneficial.

Conformation Training
This class is designed for the purebred dog that is getting ready to be shown in the conformation ring which judges the dog according to CKC Breed Standards or other registry standards. You will learn the correct way to present your breed in the show ring. Stacking, gaiting, and ring etiquette are just some of the skills you will learn.
Drop-In Agility
The Sault Ste Marie Kennel Club will be offering Saturday morning drop in agility classes starting in June. There will be an agility instructor on site to set up, supervise and assist with the course. Courses will be designed for beginner to advanced levels. Each student will get a predetermined amount of time to practice on the course. Participants can run their dog more then once depending on the number of participants signed up. Running order is on a first come first serve basis.
